Quick and easy tips on getting organized, and staying organized during the pandemic.
Is it just me or is anyone else outgrowing their place at lightning speed since the beginning of lockdown? Our place is now not only just our home, but it's also our gym and our office. As we get ready to move into our new home over the next couple of months, I've noticed a lot of what used to be my decor has started to look more like clutter than decor these days.
“...what used to be my decor has started to look more like clutter than decor these days.”
If you've started to feel overwhelmed with the amount of items you've managed to accumulate over the last several months, here's a small tip that will make you feel a thousand times lighter.
Start by dedicating 5 minutes of each day to a small, yet simple task. The keyword here is simple, so as to turn this into a therapeutic five minutes rather than a cherry on top of your stress load.
Picking which task can be intimidating, especially if you're not prepared to open up drawers or going through a closet. But take a look around the room, and try to focus on one particular thing that has felt like an eye sore to you lately.
For me, it was my coat rack. Five minutes later, and I quite literally felt a thousand times lighter. Trust me when I say the five minutes was worth it.
